Terms of use
Last updated 26 October 2026 · Effective 26 October 2026
The short version
- Wakeboo works hard to wake you, but your phone can still stop an alarm. Keep a backup for anything you can't miss.
- Missions involve moving around half asleep. Do them where it's safe.
- Sleep, snoring and the AI brief are for your information, not medical advice.
- Be kind in Together. What you send is yours, and you're responsible for it.
- Premium renews until you cancel it in the App Store or Google Play.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Wakeboo for using the Wakeboo app and this website. By using them, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Wakeboo.
2. Alarms and missions
Wakeboo rings through your phone's own alarm system and checks the settings that can stop it (Me › Alarm reliability). Still, a phone can keep an alarm from ringing: when it's off or out of battery, when the system or a battery saver stops apps, after an update, or when permissions are turned off. We can't control your phone, so we can't promise that every alarm will ring. For flights, medication, shifts and anything else you can't miss, keep a second alarm.
Missions ask you to do something to stop the alarm, like squats, walking or finding an object. Do them only where it's safe, stop if anything hurts, and don't do them while driving. When your phone is connected to a car, Wakeboo can stop the alarm without a mission (you can turn this off in Me › General).
3. Sleep, health and the AI brief
Wakeboo isn't a medical device. Sleep reports, heart data, snoring minutes and tips are for your general information, aren't a diagnosis and aren't medical advice. If you worry about your sleep, breathing or health, talk to a doctor.
The morning brief written by AI can be wrong or incomplete. Check important things, like the weather or your calendar, in their own apps.
4. Your account
Most of Wakeboo works without an account. For Together and cloud backup, you sign in with Apple or Google. Keep that account secure; what's done with your Wakeboo account is your responsibility. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete account).
5. Together
Together lets two people wake each other up: see each other's mornings, send nudges and voice, video or photo messages, and suggest alarms. In Together, don't:
- send anything illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing or threatening, or anything showing someone who didn't agree to it;
- pressure, track or control your partner, or use Wakeboo to wake someone who doesn't want it;
- pretend to be someone else, or try to get into someone else's account.
You can end a pairing, report a message or block someone at any time in Together. We can remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
6. Wakeboo Premium
- Plans: monthly, yearly, or lifetime (a one-time purchase). Prices are shown in the app before you buy, in your currency.
- Free trial: if a plan offers one, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before.
- Renewal and cancelling: subscriptions renew automatically and are charged to your App Store or Google Play account. Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; Premium stays until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
- Refunds: Apple and Google handle payments, so they handle refunds under their own rules: reportaproblem.apple.com for the App Store and Google Play's refund help.
- When Premium ends: Premium features turn off. Alarms that use them go back to free options, and premium themes and icons go back to the defaults.
- Price changes follow the App Store's and Google Play's rules, which tell you before they apply.
7. Points, offers and ads
Wakeboo points are earned in the app, for example by keeping a streak, and spent on things like unlocking a mission for a day. They have no cash value, can't be sold or transferred, and may change or end. Referral offers, like a discount for the person you invite, come with the conditions shown in the app. We can cancel points or rewards gained through abuse, like fake accounts or refunds. If we add ads to the free version, the privacy policy will say so first.
8. What's ours and what's yours
The app, its sounds, designs, texts and the Wakeboo name and logo are ours or our licensors', and are protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app for yourself. Don't copy, sell, modify or reverse engineer it, except where the law allows.
What you create, like messages, photos and music you add, stays yours. You give us the right to store it, process it and deliver it to the people you send it to, only to run Wakeboo. Make sure you have the rights to what you send.
9. Warranty and liability
We provide Wakeboo “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we don't promise that it will be free of errors or always available, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, like being late, missing an appointment or lost profits, that come from using or not being able to use Wakeboo. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, like for intent or gross negligence, and your rights as a consumer stay as the law gives them.
10. App Store and Google Play
If you got Wakeboo from the App Store, these terms are between you and Wakeboo, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support, has no duty to provide maintenance, and, if the app fails to meet a warranty, may refund its purchase price to you and has no other warranty obligation. Apple isn't responsible for claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance or intellectual property claims, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them. You confirm that you aren't in a country under a US government embargo and aren't on a US list of prohibited parties. Apple's Standard End User License Agreement also applies where these terms don't cover something. If you got Wakeboo from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply.
11. Ending, changes and law
You can stop using Wakeboo and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. We may change Wakeboo or these terms; for important changes we'll tell you in the app before they apply, and if you keep using Wakeboo after that, the new terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can go to your local courts and consumer bodies.
